CORNWALL Ontario – Many of the public and sadly many of those that run for office truly don’t understand the difference between running a private business and serving as an elected official.
While there may be occasion to say “No comment” or walk away from a question it is always a reflection of the person and situation.
Brock Frost is a troubled young man. Seemingly out of the blue he jumped into the political race to run for council in Cornwall.
Now while some might knock on doors or focus on their platform Mr. Frost instead chose to buy a hockey team to help garner votes. He also tried to buy the Port theatre. His campaign has been one of the cheque book instead of the play book.
Recently the meagre few opportunities for candidates to speak to the public started. Mr. Frost appeared at two; but never spoke.
He cited that he had black outs and then incredulously claimed that after blacking out not once, but three times was delivered to ambulance to CCH hospital and able to return back to the event in less than 90 minutes right as rain.
Something was hinky with that explanation because as much as wait times have gotten better under Chief of staff Lorne Scharf, it’s quite rare for that to happen. Many would suggest impossible?
Mr. Frost’s next disappearance was at the Labour Council
farce event. He not only fled leaving his jacket, but left is BMW keys in the pocket.
His explanation this time was that his doctors said he had mini stroke or TIA type symptoms. Looking at the Mayo Clinic website the only life style explanation was to “Avoid cocaine and other illicit drugs.”
Mr. Frost then took to social media and his fave media outlet that is in his business networking group and said that he was going for a “Three Day, Two Night” sleep study.
Now as someone that suffers from sleep apnea I know it can take a month to get an appointment and I’d never heard of the study he’d mentioned; but then I’m not a doctor; I only play one with females over the age of consent.
I contacted the clinic he mentioned and they were bewildered because they don’t offer such a sleep study and their wait time was six to eight weeks!
Ford Frost trying to gain sympathy from River King fans to help his candidacy? Was he hiding from bad people because he was a police informant? Was he a super hero hiding out in Cornwall? Your guess is as good as this scribblers.
What we do know is that Mr. Frost was not being honest with his supporters and the people of Cornwall regarding his illness. I wish Mr. Frost no harm; but when I contacted him to do my job as a journalist his answers were defensive, hostile, defamatory, and in the end threatening.
Clearly Politics may not be the right line of service for him?
Hi Brock, Hope your sleep clinic is going well. Two allegations against you. First did you pay for some or all of your campaign signs with River King tickets? Second. Did you give River King tickets away in exchange for placement of your signs in people’s yards.
