CFN Municipal Candidate Reviews For Cornwall & South Stormont BLAIS MACARONE DEPASS CURRIER

ballotCFN is reviewing and rating local candidates this election instead of endorsing.

Our next candidates for review are  Alyssa Blais, Rony Major (Macarone) Earle Depass & Rick Currier

During her service as director of the Agape Ms Blais has seen services cut while costs go up.  If you can’t run a food bank that most people want to help how on earth can you succeed as a councilor?

Ms Blais frankly has zero understanding of politics or media relations; offers little to no vision or leadership skill and it seems her only factors in attaining this position was lunching with no arrested Gilles Latour and sucking up to Bob & Tracy Peters.

She did use a consultant to create an orchard for the Agape Centre even though we’re located in Apple country where at the right time of the year apples can be purchased very very inexpensively.   Because of cliques and corruption she has a very remote chance of winning instead of none.

Ratings are for Perceived Honesty & Integrity, Vision and Action, Accessibility & Accountability, Leadership & Strength, and Win#

All are on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best.

Is it Rony Major?  Macarone? Majeur? Who the heck knows.  Rony does have some very strong ideas; sadly he mixes that with the character of a snake that hides in the shadows waiting to bite when you’re not looking.  He’s a very perplexing candidate who instead of confronting the Chamber of Commerce over President Hargreaves statements regarding the Charter of Rights offered me styling tips.    Is the exact type of character many voters are wanting to get rid of from the current crop.

A sad waste as he’s very very bright.   Still gives one of the best hair cuts in Cornwall. Gilles Latour raved about Shorteez!

Earle Depass shows a lot of his background with Toastmasters when he speaks.  Slow, measured tones, hand gestures, no “ums”.   He did clap during the Bancroft statement which means he has hearing difficulties or he supports Bancroft’s position.  Every council needs that one member that’s good at talking at events and speaking to the media.  Earle may be that guy?  Is win number is better than those rated so far for South Stormont because of the poor slate of candidates and he may have been smart enough to not say things he’s thinking instead of blurting them out or printing them on pamphlets.

Rick Currier.  What can you say about a Vet that supports someone that defaces poppies?  To actually talk to Rick one on one is about the same as listening to him speak.  Two way conversations are pretty rare.  Is blindly spouting off claims regarding taxes and numbers for South Stormont that make you think folks in Long Sault are living in Detroit.  They clearly are not.

tammy hart petition commentTried to hand in a petition to council that had over half the names online either be anonymous or from outside of the township and blindly follows Tammy Hart from event to event like the late Freddie Mercury at an All Boys School.

Frankly people have stated that if he somehow gets elected they want to move from South Stormont.  Actually hosted a paper burning party at his home!  He scores higher for vision and action as he does have one even if its fascist and warped beyond reason.  He reminds me of that guy for mayor who said Hitler was good or something like that; you know, being a special kind of not politically astute….

  1. I thought that the evaluation of Blais was overly generous but a mute point concerning her outer fringe positioning. I wonder if she tries again in four years time?

  2. Author

I would wager she and hubby move within four years.
