Cornwall PoliceTHEFT UNDER, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Toshena Hill, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on November 12th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on November 12th, 2014 the woman attended a Second Street grocery store and selected a quantity of meat and cheese making no attempts to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and located the woman in the area. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 16th, 2014.

 

Cornwall, ON – Albert Jocko, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on November 13th, 2014 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on November 13th, 2014 the man attended a Brookdale Avenue store and removed X-Box games making no attempts to pay for them as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

THREATS TO LIFE, MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 13th, 2014 and charged with threats to life and mischief. It is alleged that on November 13th, 2014 during an argument with his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend the man threatened to kill her then squeezed craft paint on some area rugs and boots. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 13th, 2014 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MAN CHARGED WITH SEVERAL OFFENCES
(South Stormont) – On November 12, 2014, SD&G OPP began an investigation into a threat complaint which had occurred at a residence on O’Keefe Road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had uttered threats towards family members on several occasions within the previous month. Further information also revealed that he had solicited a minor for sexual purposes.

The 21-year-old male was arrested on November 13, 2014 by Cornwall Community Police Service officers and turned over to SD&G OPP. He is charged with;

– Utter Threats (3 counts)
– Invitation to Sexual Touching

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (November 14, 2014).

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Dundas) – On November 13, 2014 at approximately 3:43pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Barkley Road, South Dundas Township. Information indicated that an altercation between a 45-year-old female and her spouse resulted in the male being assaulted on several occasions. Further information also revealed she had uttered threats towards family members.

The female was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault-spousal
– Assault with a Weapon (2 counts) – item thrown at victim/knife (no injuries)
– Utter Threats (2 counts)
– Mischief
She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (November 14, 2014).

 

THEFT OF HAY
(South Glengarry) – Over the past week, approximately 150-200 bales of hay were removed from a barn located on Maple Road, South Glengarry Township.

An investigation continues.
