Did Cornwall City Councilor Brock Frost Stiff CAS & Hospice & Break Campaign Promise? Jan 4, 2015

Did Cornwall City Councilor Brock Frost Stiff CAS & Hospice & Break Campaign Promise? Jan 4, 2015

Brock Frost Council DEC 8 2014CORNWALL Ontario – Will Brock Frost honour his campaign promise and deliver his council pay cheques to CAS and our Hospice as he promised during the election which helped gain him a seat at Council?

That’s the buzz as council’s first cheque was on December 24th, 2014 yet here we are on January 4, over ten days later, and there has yet to be any announcement or confirmation of reception of those monies by either charity or Councilor Frost himself?

Mr. Frost has not responded with a confirmation of payment to the charities as of press time.

From his website:

Plan # 1
My Salary as Councillor will be donated to the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) and Cornwall Hospice

The Children’s Aid Society and Cornwall Hospice are two of the most important charitable organizations that share our community. The numerous heartfelt stories that I have heard personally has triggered my vast desire to help out in any way I can.

For that reason, I will be proud and honoured to donate my entire salary as Councillor to CAS and Cornwall Hospice equally. Children deserve the best opportunities our community has to offer and everyone, old or young, deserves respect and dignity at their end of life.

Mr. Frost also lied regarding his agreement to pay the team salaries and travel the final weekend of his ownership of the River Kings stating that he didn’t like comments made by the public so decided to not honour the last game.  He was subsequently fined by the LNAH.

Councilors in Cornwall have not rescinded their big raises so the first paycheque for Council would be at the higher rates.

My answer is THANK GOD THAT I LEFT CORNWALL A LONG TIME AGO AND NOT DEAL WITH THIS CORRUPTION AND LIES NEPITISM AND CROYNISM AND EVERYTHING ELSE. Who is going to trust Frosty the Showman for anything. He ripped off a man in California who was purchasing a house in Nicaragua, made false accusations against Jamie Gilcig and many other things that we will be hearing about not to mention purchasing a hockey team to get elected, pretending to be ill so as not to face the people with his lies at election time. Once more is uncovered about Frosty… Read more »

As we’ve seen Brock’s character revealed does anything he does surprise anyone?

Surprising Brock that your statements didn’t get you on the front page of the Cornwall Living magazine…..or did it?……..considering two of my uncles died young and from cancer …..they passed with the help of the wonderful staff who give there time there and the nurses and doctors…..knowing how much these services are needed by the families of the dying and especially the poor families…..I have to say that I’m Horrified,, ……So your a leader eh?………….nonsense…makes sense in Cornwall……..\

Frosty the Showman knows that we are on to him and the little midget Darrel Madden is on the lam because he can expose Frosty for what he is and so can other people. Frosty isn’t alone in his scams and believe me there are others out there hiding and shaking in their boots. We will find out more as time goes on and Frosty cannot hide we are all on to him and watching him like a hawk.

Hind sight might tell Robert Brock Frost that announcing sooner rather than later might have helped lift some of the clouds of doubt surrounding him. At this point he looks like a shady opportunistic chronic liar. So far he seems to be the most transparent personality on council. I guess what remains to be seen is his commitment to accountability.

Darren Madden….I think he was a (very) brief blimp in the RiverKings history.

Hopefully Brock will fullfill his promise to donate his salary to Hospice Cornwal and the CAS.

It should come as no surprise that Frost has not delivered on his promises to donate his City of Cornwall salary to the charities. He got what he wanted! A liar is a liar! Further, it should come as no surprise that Council has not rescinded the raise they voted for themselves….there’s a saying “There’s no whore like an old whore!” Nothing in Cornwall surprises me anymore!

And council will be dealing with the raises issue further in January. City administration will be providing info on what other municipalities, etc handle this situation. Let’s not bury them before all the info is available.

Lying, fraud, corruption, nepotism, cronyism, theft and you name it is all part of Cornwall oh and don’t forget pedophilia and smuggling. Cornwall has enough of all of these to make a book. We have Willie Wise now serving time in a prison in San Francisco for being an international “bankster as in gangster” which they all are, Holy Cow Gilles Latour for his role too in fraud, now we have another evil one on council besides our treasured Willie is Frosty the Showman and don’t forget he managed to take a humoungous bundle of loot almost $700K US dollars… Read more »

I hope Mr Frost will live up to his word
After Sept 11th Howard Lutnick (CEO) of Cantor Fitzgerald said he would help the families. The company lost 658 employees when the planes hit the twin towers. Fox News Bill O’Reilly led a lynch mob against the man and he faced death threats because O’Reilly claimed he was stiffing the families. In the end Lutnick became a hero taking care of those left behind.
Long winded story about trying to give people the benefit of the doubt although Frosts track record is at best SHAKY

Allowing comments supporting your obsessive stories but not allowing opinions that don’t reflect yours; you’re a real genius.

The fact that you of all people are attacking someone’s physical appearance is hilarious; I thought that was you I saw on the cover of Men’s Health last month? Holiday was great, I was reading the garbage you are so proud to write and laughing all the way from Europe, appreciate the additional (“free”) entertainment. As for your idiotic questions, no I haven’t. What about you? Sue anyone for the sake of suing ? Video someone without their permission? Make a move on another councillor ?

All the things Jules mentioned can be found in Cornwall. But they can also be found in any other Canadian City. Cornwall does not have the exclusive rights to lying, fraud, corruption, nepotism, cronyism, theft, pedophilia and smuggling. In regard to Willie Wise he has not yet been sentenced. SO, he may be cooling his heels in an U.S. prison his prison time has not yet been decided. Blame that on an attorney who went on his honeymoon. Gilles Latour’s case has yet to come to trial. It may be years (if Willie Wise’s case is any indication) before it… Read more »

Hugger1…what do other communities have to do with the work that our council does? We have 1 councilor for every 4500 residents what city our size has that kind of over representation? If you base compensation on responsibility or per resident our councilors are grossly overpaid and they would be best served to drop the raise and create the appearance that they actually have this community and its people as a priority in their civic minded efforts. Personally I have grown tired of people comparing themselves with others rather than standing up and basing their worth on their own merit.… Read more »

My point is that what happens in Cornwall is not unique. How Cornwall deals with it can be unique at times. But that’s Cornwall for you. It would take a massive change in attitude by Cornwall taxpayers and city council to change how things are done and perceived as being done by outsiders to get Cornwall where it should be. Change is never easy. People have to realize this. I agree with David Oldham. I think a realignment is needed at city council. Bring the number of councilors down to eight….5 ward councilors and 3 city wide councilors. This way… Read more »

I think moving to the ward system would be beneficial for Cornwall. Most other cities use it with success. When you have ten councilors voted for city wide it doesn’t give the councilors responsibility for an area. With that you see the “pass the buck” or “assumption” attitudes. “Assumption” attitudes are when councilor assume that another councilor will look into the problem. From time to time I see the “assumption” attitude in Cornwall. I have sent emails to all councilors only to receive replies from one or two councilors. And never a follow-up from the replies I do receive. But… Read more »

In regard to what admin said January 5, 2015 at 6:42 am. I think a big part of it is “cliques.” With the change of guard at city hall hopefully the cliques will slowly fall away and the taxpayers / citizens can start to take the city back. What may also help is clique members (one of the his last name starts with an “L”) being charged with things and being held accountable by the courts AND the citizens.

Jamie have you been dipping your beak into the Christmas batch???? My God Almighty me wanting to move back to Cornwall – gee you have to be more wacky than what I am to think that way. God Forbid! I think that you have been out for too long in this freezing weather. Heavens no. Speaking about frauds I just glanced at Yahoo.ca and Fantino is being ousted and replaced by someone else so that should cheer Furtz up somewhat. About Frosty the Showman he would stiff Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary to get what he wants. You get… Read more »

Gee Jamie it is so much fun being naughty. LOL LOL. ROLF! It is way too hard to be too nice. I will try but no promises. LOL LOL. ROLF! This old trout (me) cannot stop laughing at this end making people so upset over nothing at all. LOL LOL. ROLF!

Jamie a while ago I clicked on CTV about the rink and I don’t watch TV and missed that on CJOH. Some time ago last year I saw on the net about a suburb of Washington DC complaining about basketball nets on the boulevard of people’s properties and they were forced to move them. Again a bunch of busy bodies who have nothing else to do but spy on others and complain. Leslie is going to be busier than a fart in the mitt trying to catch everyone breaking by-laws.

Looks like Brock Frost has donated half his salary to Hospice Cornwall, according to a story on CNW.

Hugger1

Only one person knows the answers to the questions, and he isn;t talking. Inquiring minds want to know. It seems strange with Brock being so quiet lately. Did someone talk to Brock and explain how a city councilor should act?

jules
Guest

Hugger I noticed that Frosty the showman is being quiet and not falsely accusing Jamie of wanting a romp in the hay stack somewhere. LOL LOL. ROLF!

Colin Munro

I guess the answer is “no”, he didn’t stiff those charities or break a campaign promise. Now I’m obviously expecting a full story about him donating, and an apology for writing a premature story! What do you say? Try apologizing! Usually that’s what people do when they’re wrong.

Hugger1
Guest

Yeap, it’s kind of hard to do a news story when you aren’t given a press release. It looks like the only one with a story is CNW. There is nothing on CSF, CSN or The Seekers sites about this.

Hugger1

I don’t think there are too many large cheques like that floating around. The important thing is he honoured his election promise.

Lassie

Half of one paycheque!!?!?

One would expect a self-proclaimed hotshot realtor, almost sports impresario, world travelling, one man charity and legend in his own mind, to cough up the whole year’s share of salary… a nice lump of cash instead of a dribble.

Not even a year’s worth of post-dated cheques?

Man, oh man, this desperate play to the press… what a pathetic and messy meltdown we’re going to see from this fraud.

Furtz

Such a class act! Making a donation is good. Calling in the press and showboating about it is a little sad, and narcissistic.

Glad also to see Robert Brock Frost begin to follow through on a promise to the electorate of Cornwall. Of course not to forget the term of office is potentially four years. The road to earning my respect will take likely as long and will require additional cloud dispersal.

David Oldham

Furtz I tend to agree with your take. In addition the fact that the story was so limited in its release suggests to me me that there was little thought put into it, possibly because it was done with some haste.

Hugger1
Guest

Lassie….he donated $6,500.00, half of his annual salary to Hospice Cornwall.

Furtz, it’s all about photo-ops for some politicians.

Colin Munro it took a lot of people needling Frosty the Showman to show the money that he promised the hospice and also the CAS as well. Many people are suffering and the way Frosty lives as a “hotshot” in Cornwall and Long Sault, etc. he can well afford to dish out that measly little amount of money. I would never get Frosty to sell me a house nor to sell one that I would have (which I don’t I already sold many many years ago thank God).
