Frying Pan Attack in Cornwall Ontario – Police Blotter for Monday MARCH 9, 2015 #CCPS

Cornwall, ON – A 52-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 6th, 2015 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, threats and breach of probation for associating with someone he has conditions not to be with and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that during an argument on March 6th, 2015 with his 52-year-old girlfriend the man struck her on the head with a frying pan and threatened to kill her. The man also prevented the woman from leaving the apartment and pushed her to the ground. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80, THEFT UNDER $5000

 

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Ingleside youth was arrested on March 7th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of March 7th, 2015 the youth was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when he struck a building in the area of Marlborough Street and Montreal Road. Police were contacted and the youth was taken into custody and charged accordingly. During their investigation it was also learned that the youth was responsible for taking cigarettes from a Marlborough Street store and failed to pay for them. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Kimber Lee Long, 20 of no fixed address was arrested on March 7th, 2015 and charged with breaching her recognizance for being within 250 meters of someone she has conditions not to be around and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 6th, 2015 the woman was breaching her conditions by being in the same apartment building as the person she has conditions not to be around. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 7th, 2015 the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

IMPAIRED OPERATION

 

Cornwall, ON – Frederick Cholette, 48 of Apple Hill was arrested on March 7th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged that on March 7th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Guy Street and Fifth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 19th, 2015.

 

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, OVERCOME RESISTANCE, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 8th, 2015 and charged with two counts of assault, two counts of overcome resistance (choking), mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 7th, 2015 the man punched and choked his 20-year-old girlfriend and caused damage to the apartment walls. On March 8th, 2015 the man assaulted a 20-year-old man that was known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it might identify the victims in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Tessier, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on March 7th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on March 7th, 2015 the man removed batteries from a Ninth Street store making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

  1. Things sure get all heated up about that bacon to want to attack the other with a skillet. Bacon, bacon, whose got the bacon.

  2. I knew a guy in Brockville years ago whose girlfriend whacked him in the face with a frying pan while he was asleep in bed. When the cops arrived, they arrested him and charged him with assault, because she said that he started it. Poor guy could never catch a break. It cost him a broken nose and cheekbone, three months in jail, two years probation and and a life-long criminal record.
