Egg Assault in Cornwall Ontario – Police Blotter for Friday March 20, 2015 #CCPS

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 19th, 2015 and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged that during an argument on March 19th, 2015 with his 25-year-old girlfriend the man threw a laptop at her and grabbed her by the shoulder. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

Cornwall, ON- Beverly Charlebois, 61 of Cornwall was arrested on March 19th, 2015 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on March 19th, 2015 the woman threw an egg and a water bottle at a 39-year-old man that is known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 21st, 2015.

 

MISCHIEF, THREATS, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 19th, 2015 and charged with mischief, threats and breach of undertaking for communicating with someone he has conditions not to communicate with and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that during an argument with his 20-year-old girlfriend on March 19th, 2015 the man damaged a door and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation it was learned that the man also previously threatened to burn his girlfriends’ apartment. He was charged accordingly and released. Shortly after being released the man communicated with his girlfriend despite the conditions of his release. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
