US CBP Respond to JESS COOKE Incident Near Ogdensburg NY – MAY 8, 2015 #CBP

CFN – An Ogdensburg woman about to graduate with a law enforcement degree challenged US Border Patrol officers after a random pull over.

After being belligerent and  challenging  the Federal agents after being pulled to wait for a K9 Unit for inspection she was subdued and tasered.   The event was captured by her on video.  LINK.

The 21 year old was screaming during the ordeal in spite of the agent’s calm and direct commands.

She was reported to have been taken to the Ogdensburg Customs location but has yet to be charged.

She reported various minor abrasions from her scuffle.

CFN has asked Ms Cook for an interview with no reply as of press time.

“U.S. Customs and Border Protection is investigating a report from the U.S. Border Patrol’s Swanton Sector about an altercation between an individual and two Border Patrol agents at a checkpoint on Thursday, May 7. The altercation followed a brief verbal exchange between the individual and the two agents regarding their intent to inspect the vehicle.”

Shelbe Benson-Fuller of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Public Affairs responded above.

We will update this story as more information becomes available.  You can reach CFN at info@cornwallfreenews.com

So refusing and unlawful detention and standing up for you rights is “being belligerent”?

The Supreme Court has already ruled that police are not allowed to detain a person longer than it takes to issue a citation for the sole purpose of bringing the dogs out.

Why are people always looking for confrontation? It never ceases to amaze me how people can complain after mouthing-off at the Border people……Wake Up and smell the coffee lady!

Here is a better link to the whole story. Also note what she has been working on: “An Ogdensburg woman, just days away from earning a degree in law enforcement leadership from SUNY Canton…”. So I think she knows more about the law then most of us, would you not say Stan. “Wake Up and smell the coffee lady”- typical spineless Canadian response.

“I do not have to open my trunk regardless if im hiding anything or not. I have NOTHING to hide what so ever. I was going home. They dont have to know shit. They are nosy when they ask things and they dont need to know certain information. Only thing they need to know is if you are a US citizen!!” Written by Jess Cooke’s facebook post of the video. I don’t believe she knows anything about border security or her rights. Comment policy reminder CFN has a new comment policy. You must use your real first and last name.… Read more »

YOU DON’T SUPPOSE THAT SHE WAS SCREAMING BECAUSE SHE WAS BEING HELD DOWN AND TASERED, AS THE TAPE SHOWS? SHE KNEW THE LAW AND SHE WAS TACKLED AND TASED BY THE AGENT BECAUSE SHE QUESTIONED HIS AUTHORITY. SHE IS LUCKY HE DIDN’T SHOOT HER AS HE COULD HAVE AS THIS AS THE WAY IT IS NOW, WITH NO REPERCUSIONS

Why is this article trying to make it seem as if she was the bad person here?
The officer was calm? Are you kidding me? This criminal agent is a hothead who shouldn’t be wearing a badge. He should be in prison. He instigated it by illegally pushing her when she was already far back from the vehicle inspection area.
This article was written by a criminal cop apologist.

If you mouth off at border control they can arrest you. A couple of years ago or less I went on the net and saw a man and his wife along with their baby and they were headed to Buffalo NY to shop. The US border agents asked them the names and addresses of the stores that they were going and they said that they didn’t know and were going to look around. This was a Canadian couple from Niagara Falls Ontario and people who don’t live over there will not know about those particulars. The man was mouthing off… Read more »

A lot of border guards are wannabe cops. And if you push it they’ll push back. They, basically, have to follow the same rules as police officers. Give a person a position or perceived position of authority and sometimes the power goes to their heads.

Your crystal ball is getting fuzzy.

No it isn`t, but refusing to open your trunk at the request of a border guard and then mouthing off when the border guard starts questioning you on your intentions is. I`m sorry, but I have no pity for those who cry foul when they don`t follow the direction of a peace officer. Open your trunk, show you have nothing to hide and be on your merry way.

It was false arrest when they made her wait for a K9. This is according to a judicial decision a couple of weeks ago. She knew the law and stood up for it and the 2 CPF officers assaulted her for it. Then CPD made an illegal property search at her residence. A jury should agree. She will collect a handsome settlement paid by the taxpayers and the agents will not be punished in the justice system. All of this is contra to the bill of rights and the police state is at hand.
