Will Premier Wynne Delay Patrick Brown Gaining a Seat by Jamie Gilcig MAY 9, 2015 #PC #wynne #brown

Jamie & FitzyCFN – Now that Patrick Brown has stormed in and taken over the PC Party in Ontario the big question is when will he get a seat?

Most of his own MPP’s didn’t support him during the leadership run, and even if one like our own useless lump, Jim McDonell, stepped down Premier Wynne could delay a by election for around six months.

And that is the real money shot here.    Brown overcame huge odds to defeat Christine Elliott.  That surely should put the fear of um…something into Ms Wynne?

The longer it takes to get Brown into Queen’s Park the more it will look like she fears his leadership.

If she really is confident, or at least wants to portray that image, the sooner he gains his seat the faster the Ontario public will get to see whether she has what it takes to stand up to him, even while having her majority.

What do you think dear CFN viewers?  If a snap election were held who would you vote for Premier now that the PC leadership race is over?

Who Will You Vote as the Next Premier of Ontario MAY 2015

It doesn’t matter when Brown shifts his butt from his cushy seat in Ottawa to a cushy seat in Toronto. He and his party are irrelevant until the next election is called. I’m sure Brown will want to start collecting his MPP salary as soon as possible, but…

“Now that Patrick Brown has stormed in and taken over the PC Party in Ontario the big question is when will he get a seat?” – I thought he was voted in by his fellow PC’s?

Newton, you really should read up on how the Canadian political system works.

The PC’s had their time of due process and selected their PC leader – they voted him in. So what else do I need to know about – “how the Canadian political system works”?

Pro 11:18 “The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward”.

The fact that dear Patrick Brown doesn’t have a seat in the OLA. That should be a priority of his. If it isn’t then is he really interested in leading the party or just there for the publicity and / or $$.

It is your crazy Canadian political system. So some PC has to step down in order for Mr. Brown to run in their riding

I think have byelections a fixed period after a seat is vacated so as to ensure that parts of our province or country are not left unrepresented for months at a time. There is no reason for a gap of any longer than the typical 6 to 7 weeks of a standard election campaign between a seat’s being resigned and a by election’s being held Stalling to prevent one’s political rivals from gaining a seat or turning byelections into political tests is unfair to the people represented. Liberals and Conservatives are both guilty of doing this, and it is unquestionably… Read more »

PTN….No, it’s yours as well. You live in Ontario.

Seriously Newton. For some one with such strong and vocal political views, you really should learn about how the system works. It’s not that complicated. The info is readily available, but you won’t find it in your book of fairy tales.

I agree with you Pastor that this system is very strange and it isn’t one that I like at all. All this is based on the British system like the federal government and nothing is Canadian at all.

Jules, which democratic system of government should Canada adopt? And how would that system work? You’ve obviously been thinking about this for some time, and must have some ideas for positive change.

Every human system of government is flawed because we are fallen sinners who continue to reject God’s instruction from His Word and His ability to do right – to practice the Word of God as one is saved and filled with God Holy Spirit. The book of Daniel is a prophetic book that outlines the rise and fall of all the Gentile nations past, present, and that is to come. Daniel is one book that unlocks the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation is a prophetic book also, and tells us what is going to happen in the final… Read more »

If man was not flawed Pastor Tom then this world would be your heaven. Being flawed does not make us disciples of your devil, it merely makes us human. Life without struggle serves what purpose?

Pastor Newton Mr. Oldham said what is right. It is man that is flawed. I listened to one man who used to be on radio and now deceased and he once said: “Take away man and you take away the devil” and that really clicked in me. That is so very true Pastor. People everywhere are flawed and some more than others.

Furtz “democracy is socialism” and it doesn’t really work that much. I don’t know of a perfect kind of government until Jesus comes back to straighten this demonic world of ours.

The Mad Hatter’s tea party comes to mind.
Carry on…

There is no such thing as a perfect government. Every form of government has its strengths and weaknesses. The trick is to exploit the strengths and try to eliminate the weaknesses.

Jules – David Oldham is a man with religion (like yourself), but has no living relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is very evident from his posts: Isa 8:20 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them”. David rejects the Word of God and the authority of the Word often in his posts. He has shown to be very liberal in his thinking when it comes to the sufficiency of the Scriptures. Human wisdom and free will got us into this flawed, fallen… Read more »

I agree Hugger1 every government is relevant for a moment in time. The length of that moment is what varies but all governments are finite in their appeal.

Pastor Tom Newton you are right that I am a man of religion. It is my personal belief that all should recognize that a greater force exists. That I do not necessarily agree with all your interpretations would be correct as well. Wisdom has nothing to do with our situation in my opinion. I most certainly agree that our gift of free will was at the centre in our beginning and I would suggest that it was by design. We are all part of a much bigger reality Pastor Tom and as far as predicting the future of the human… Read more »

Hugger1 – the best government is found in a loving, righteous Monarch – i.e. King Jesus. A pure democracy is at the bottom of the list as the worse forms of government. A republic democracy is a one better, but still at the bottom. The problem is not in the form of government, but in the depravity of the hearts of fallen humanity. The issue is that we are sinners in rebellion to God – traitors committing treason. That is what the Bible reveals. Those that are afraid of “social conservationism” cry out against what they perceive are the only… Read more »

PTN….I’m not going to debate government with you, as you seem to think you have all the right answers. We have to learn to deal with the government we elect. It’s fine to believe that the the best government is found in a loving, righteous Monarch – i.e. King Jesus. But that doesn’t change the fact that we have corrupt governments in The Big Smoke and Ottawa..
