Door Beating & More Guns in Cornwall Ontario – Police Blotter for Sunday MAY 31, 2015 #CCPS

MISCHIEF, ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 29th, 2015 and charged with mischief, assault cause bodily harm and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that during an argument on May 29th, 2015 with her 29-year-old boyfriend the woman forced open a door causing it to be damaged and striking the man on the head resulting in him seeking medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, POSSESSION OF A FIREARM IN A MOTOR VEHICLE

 

Cornwall, ON – Mark Dunn, 56 of Saint-Hubert Quebec was arrested on May 29th, 2015 and charged with possession of marijuana, unauthorized possession of firearms and possession of firearms in a motor vehicle. It is alleged that on May 29th, 2015 the man was stopped at the port of entry and found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and four long guns without a permit. Police were contacted and the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – David Thorne, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on May 29th, 2015 and charged with breach of recognizance for consuming alcohol and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged that on May 29th, 2015 police attended the area of Marlborough Street South for a disturbance call and found the man to have been drinking despite being on conditions not to consume alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.CCPS LOGO
