DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(North Glengarry) – On June 26, 2015 at approximately 11:17pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on Glen Robertson Main Street, North Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana and cannabis resin (hash). Two occupants were arrested.

Driver, Philippe DELORME (19) of North Glengarry Township is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

Passenger, Ryan HOWES (19) of North Glengarry Township is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

Both were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on August 5, 2015.

 

BREACH OF CONDITION

(North Dundas) – On June 27, 2015 at approximately 8:48am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a residence on County Road 13, North Dundas Township following a report of an adult male in breach of a non-communication order imposed from a previous incident.

Joey CINNAMON (35) of North Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(North Glengarry) – On June 28, 2015 at approximately 10:41am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on County Road 30, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a female and her boyfriend resulted in the male being assaulted. Damage was also caused in the home.

The 20-year-old female from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault
– Mischief Under $5000

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on July 21, 2015. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

DAMAGE TO MAILBOXES

(North Glengarry) – On June 28, 2015 at approximately 9:41am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of several mailboxes damaged on Concession Road 8, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated the incidents occurred overnight (June 27-28, 2015).
An investigation continues.

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(South Glengarry/Dundas) – Over the past weekend, SD&G OPP officers conducting speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Glengarry & Dundas Townships intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. In all stops, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– June 26, 2015 – 7:44pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 152km/h (100km/h zone). Female driver (24) from Montreal, Quebec charged accordingly.

– June 26, 2015 – 10:10pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 163km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (24) from Caledon, Ontario charged accordingly.

– June 28, 2015 – 8:26pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 160km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (22) from Montreal, Quebec charged accordingly.

(South Glengarry) – On June 25, 2015 at approximately 8:37am, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on Glen Road, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

 

The male driver, Andrew TESSIER (23) of South Glengarry Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria at a later date.

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

(South Glengarry) – On June 24, 2015 at approximately 6:03am, a Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer intercepted a vehicle on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected Cocaine, Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms), and Methamphetamine pills. The stop indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of drugs.
The male driver, Eric MARTIN (39) of Les Coteaux, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (4 counts)
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Drugs
– Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm/Ammunition
– Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order (4 counts)
– Transport Firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition (Ammo)
– Carry Prohibited Device in a careless manner (Taser)
– Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The female passenger, Melissa ST.GELAIS (24) of Saint Zotique, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance (4 counts)
– Transport Firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition (Ammo)
– Carry Prohibited Device in a careless manner (Taser)
MARTIN was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice of Ontario in Cornwall.
ST.GELAIS was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Jull 28, 2015.
Ontario Provincial Police News Portal [STORMONT DUNDAS and GLENGARRY] UPDATE: OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS CRASH 2015-06-24

(LANCASTER,  ON) – On June 23, 2015 at approximately 2:30PM, SDG OPP officers responded to a crash on Highway 401, west bound near Lancaster (Marker 814).

A double-decker bus and a tractor trailer collided.

There were approximately 45 people on the bus. Approximately 19 people have reported minor injuries and were taken hospital.

One adult female (24) was airlifted with serious, life threatening injuries (previously reported as a teenager) and remains in hospital. The 3 others taken with serious injuries remain in hospital.

Non-injured passengers were transported to the Williamstown arena and Transportation was arranged.

Highway 401 westbound has been re-opened. The investigation is continuing.
