Phone Book Assault in Cornwall Ontario – Police Blotter AUG 10, 2015 #CCPS

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 6th, 2015 and charged with assault with a weapon and threats. It is alleged during an argument on February 25th, 2015 the man struck his 29-year-old common- law wife with a phone book. It is also alleged on August 4th, 2015 the man threatened to harm his common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

ASSAULT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 6th, 2015 and charged with assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on August 6th, 2015 with his 47-year-old wife the man pushed her on two occasions and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Trevor Leclair, 39 of Apple Hill was arrested on August 8th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged in the early morning hours of August 8th, 2015 the man was found to have been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when he struck a house on Fifteenth Street. Police were contacted to investigate and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 20th, 2015.

 

Cornwall, ON – Kenneth Garlow, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on August 9th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 9th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Third Street and Bedford Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Geoffrey Jarvo, 41 of Cornwall was arrested on August 8th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 8th, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

 

 

ASSAULT, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 8th, 2015 and charged with assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on August 8th, 2015 with his 29-year-old common-law wife the man grabbed her by the arms and head-butted her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THEFT UNDER, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Robert Brannen, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on August 9th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 8th, 2015 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed bottles of liquor making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 9th, 2015 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Villeneuve, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on August 9th, 2015 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged in the early morning hours of August 9th, 2015 the man was found to be breaching his curfew during a traffic stop. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Christian Vandermeer, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on August 5th, 2015 and charged with breaching his recognizance for associating with someone he has conditions not to associate with and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 5th, 2015 the man was found to be in the company of someone he has conditions not to associate with while in the area of Leonard Street. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

  1. With Cornwall’s phone book being very small it sure could not have done any harm. LOL LOL. Of all the insane things we read this is one of the nuttiest.

  2. Now a phone book?? Weren’t grass clippings and other “weapons” used previously? Weird!!!
