Weed & Indecent Act On Bus Land Senagalese Man in Hot Water With OPP – AUG 25, 2015

INDECENT ACT

(South Stormont) – On August 24, 2015 at approximately 6:52pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an indecent act incident on a bus travelling on Highway 401, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male passenger had been observed performing an indecent act while riding in the bus by other passengers.  The adult male was removed from the bus without incident and also was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

Andre Daouda BA (21) of Dakar,Senegal was arrested and is charged with;

– Indecent Act – Public Place

– Indecent Exhibition

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Mischief Under – $5000

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

(South Glengarry) – On August 24, 2015, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Glengarry Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

– August 24, 2015 – 9:02pm (South Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 151km/h (100km/h zone). Steven HAWKES (18) from Chateauguay, Quebec was charged accordingly.

MISCHIEF

(South Glengarry) – Over the past weekend, incidents of mischief (vandalism) took place at a local Church in South Glengarry Township. A Cross, Statue and Candle glass holders were smashed at the Church (Eglise Ste Marie De L’Assumption).  The SD&G OPP are looking the public’s assistance in solving this disrespectful Act.

An investigation continues.
