Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for Tuesday Sept. 8, 2015

WARRANT

 

Cornwall, ON – Daniel D’Aoust, 24 of Lancaster was arrested on September 4th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On September 4th, 2015 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and the man remained in custody for a bail hearing.

 

Cornwall, ON – Michael Harding, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on September 5th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On September 5th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 22nd, 2015.

 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Edward Steptoe, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on September 5th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 2nd, 2015 the man entered a Second Street East store and removed a bottle of alcohol making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located at a Lauber Street residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 1st, 2015.

 

Cornwall, ON – Travis Moore, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on September 5th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000, possession of a controlled substance and breach of undertaking for being in possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with failing to keep the peace and failing to report. It is alleged on August 23rd, 2015 the man took a cell phone from a person he knew and police were contacted to investigate. On September 5th, 2015 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service spotted the man in the area of Second Street and Lefebvre Avenue. The man was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of pills. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
