Sources close to City Hall have stated that Brock Frost has informed Mayor Leslie O’Shaughnessy that he will be officially resigning as of the Monday council meeting after a vacation trip to Eastern Europe. Frost had allegedly resigned previously but didn’t sign the final documents.
At an earlier meeting the mayor had stated that Frost was on a medical leave, but Frost’s social media account showed him doing daily selfies in bars across such hot spots as Estonia and Latvia. On his facebook page he’s now apparently about to embark on another trip outside of the country.
Frost has been embattled in issues from fraudelent real estate deals in Nicauragua, the scandal that was his ownership of the Cornwall River King hockey team that nearly led to its demise, and several other lawsuits.
He currently is dealing with criminal charges for forged documents in Quebec stemming from his River King dealings.
Mr. Frost moved to Ottawa citing more business opportunities than in the city over 4,000
morons citizens that voted for him in.
Frost, who didn’t live in the city itself owned several buildings. The Municipal Act in Ontario has no recall clause leaving some frustrated councilors grumbling about the distraction his being on council had created.
Former Councilor Denis Carr is the lead candidate to replace him as 11th place finisher Guy St. Jean and his sugar daddy sailed off to Florida after St. Jean wasn’t elected. He also shuttered down his vanity chatchka business, neovintage furniture which he established in South Stormont instead of Cornwall.
No comments from Frost or the Mayor have been made to CFN as of press time.
