THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – James Labelle, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man attended a Ninth Street store on October 18th, 2015 and removed razors making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 10th, 2015 the man was spotted walking in the area of Eleventh Street and Sydney Street by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 17th, 2015.

Cornwall, ON – Paul Grant, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000, breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and threats. It is alleged on November 10th, 2015 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed a bottle of alcohol making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was later spotted by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service walking on Sydney Street. He was taken into custody and threatened to harm the police officer. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 22nd, 2015.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Byron Blue, 58 of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged the man kicked another man on October 30th, 2015 and police were contacted to investigate. On November 10th, 2015 the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Mathieu Duplantie, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2015 and charged with threats to life. It is alleged on November 10th, 2015 the man threatened to kill a 55-year-old man and his 51-year-old wife who were known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 10th, 2015 and charged with threats, criminal harassment and forcible confinement. It is alleged on November 10th, 2015 the man located his 43-year-old ex-common-law wife in a parking lot and threatened to burn down her house and prevented her from leaving the area with her car. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 10th, 2015 the man was located at his residence, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
