WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 11th, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged during an argument in the month of June, 2015 the man assaulted his 18-year-old girlfriend, threatened her and damaged some of her property. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 11th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not release as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 11th, 2015 and charged with mischief. It is alleged on December 7th, 2015 the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 11th, 2015 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not release as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Sumera Idress, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on December 11th, 2015 and charged with break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged on November 26th, 2015 the woman entered a Brookdale Avenue residence and removed property that did not belong to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 11th, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 14th, 2016.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Skyler Delorme, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on December 11th, 2015 and charged with breaching his undertaking for having consumed alcohol, being out past curfew and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 11th, 2015 while dealing with the man for an unrelated matter police found him to be breaching his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH, OBSTRUCT POLICE, RESIST ARREST, ASSAULT POLICE

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 11th, 2015 and charged with obstruct police, resist arrest, assault police and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while police were dealing with an unrelated matter on December 11th, 2015 the intoxicated youth interfered with their investigation. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and transported to police headquarters. The youth is also alleged to have kicked three officers during the incident. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 12th, 2015 and charged with mischief. It is alleged during an argument on December 12th, 2015 with his 27-year-old girlfriend the man damaged a door and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 28th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on December 13th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on December 13th, 2015 the woman pushed her 26-year-old boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2016. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

UPDATE – SEXUAL ASSAULT
Michael Ross BURNETT arrested.

(WOLFE ISLAND, ON) – On December 11, 2015 the Leeds County Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into a serious sexual assault that occurred on Wolfe Island, Frontenac County, between Tuesday, December 8 and Friday, December 11, 2015.

The 34-year-old female victim was taken to hospital.

opp DEC 15 2015A Warrant in the ‎First Instance was issued for Michael Ross BURNETT, 39 of no fixed address, on charges of Sexual Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Forcible Confinement. He was arrested today, Sunday, December 13, 2015 by Kingston Police. Thank you to everyone who assisted and provided information.

YOUTHS CHARGED IN THEFTS

(North Glengarry) – As a result of ongoing investigations into a reported theft and break-in, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two (2) male youths. Investigation indicated that on November 20, 2015, items were removed from a change room at the Glengarry District High School in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Further information revealed the accused were involved in a break-in at the same location reported on March 27, 2015.

A 16 and 17-year-old male youths, both from North Glengarry Township were arrested and each charged with;

– Break and Enter
– Theft Under $5000
– Fail to Comply with Conditions

Both are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. The names of the accused are not being released in accordance to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
YOUTH CHARGED WITH MISCHIEF

(North Dundas) – On December 10, 2015 at approximately1:58pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of mischief at a property on Chesterville Main Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a female youth has damaged a vehicle. After being arrested, she threatened an officer.

The 17-year-old female youth from Cornwall, Ontario is charged with;

– Mischief Under $5000
– Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
– Fail to Comply with Conditions (2 counts)

She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. The name of the accused is not being released in accordance to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
