BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Williamstown youth was arrested on January 28th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation for failing to reside at a specified address and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with four counts of breach of recognizance for breaching curfew, failing to attend school, not residing with his surety and for attending Cornwall. It is alleged the youth failed to return home on January 25th, 2016 and police were contacted to investigate. On January 28th, 2016 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

WEAPONS DANGEROUS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Embrun youth was arrested on January 28th, 2016 and charged with weapons dangerous. It is alleged on January 28th, 2016 the youth brandished a knife during an argument with another 17-year-old youth and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Allikas, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on January 28, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 28th, 2016 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed a quantity of meat making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 3rd, 2016.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Montreal man was arrested on January 28th, 2016 and charged with breaching an undertaking for communicating with his ex-girlfriend despite being on conditions not to. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on January 28th, 2016 police learned the man had contacted his ex-girlfriend during the month of January, 2016 by way of phone calls despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

THREATS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 28th, 2016 and charged with threats. It is alleged during an argument on January 28th, 2016 with her 18-year-old step son the woman threatened to kill him and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 3rd, 2016. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on January 27th, 2016 and charged with assault and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on January 27th, 2016 the woman pushed her 24-year-old boyfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
