BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Gerard Cook, 52 of Cornwall was arrested on February 13th, 2016 and charged with breach of probation for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 13th, 2016 the man was found to be breaching his conditions and was taken into custody during a traffic stop. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 15th, 2016.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Dylan Carello, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on February 14th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged in the early morning hours of February 14th, 2016 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street and Pitt Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 25th, 2016.

 

OBSTRUCT

 

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 14th, 2016 and charged with obstruct. It is alleged on February 14th, 2016 while investigating a disturbance police attempted to check on the well being of an infant and the intoxicated man attempted to stop police from doing so, He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as it would identify the infant.

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Lalonde, 21 of no fixed address was arrested on February16th, 2016 and charged with possession of stolen property. It is alleged the man removed property from parked cars in the area of Marlborough Street and McConnell Avenue and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located a short distance away, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Malcolm Pyper, 20 of Smith Falls was arrested on February 11th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his recognizance in 2015 by not residing with his surety and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 11th, 2016 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Troy Lyons, 30 of Akwesasne was arrested on February 11th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to appear for prints on January 13th, 2016 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 11th, 2016 the man was stopped at the port of entry and police were contacted. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 11th, 2016 and charged with assault X3, threats X 2 and forcible confinement. It is alleged during arguments in the month of February, 2016 the man assaulted his 18-year-old ex-girlfriend by way of pushing and grabbing her and threatened to stab her new boyfriend. The man also would not allow the woman to leave the apartment. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Alfred youth was arrested on February 10th, 2016 and charged with threats. It is alleged the youth threatened to harm and kill another youth through Instagram and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
