Mini Ice Storm Knocks Off Power Overnight in Cornwall Ontario Ottawa Sets Snow Record FEB 17, 2016

Cornwall Ontario residents are digging out after heavy freezing rain has made roads and walking perilous.   No relief is set until the weekend when temperatures are predicted to reach +7 on Saturday.

Power was out overnight for over three hours in Cornwall.

Cars are iced up with heavy piles of snow in front of homes from plowing.    With a low low expected of -15c and a high for Thursday of only -10c people will be braving the ice until the wet stuff starts again on Friday.

HomesteadOrganicsXLgRotatorOttawa is recovering from a new single day snow record with over 50cm of snow covering the city.    Some reports said it was coming down as fast as 7cm per hour at one point.
