Threats in Long Sault – SD&G #OPP Round Up for FEB 22, 2016

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(North Glengarry) – On February 20, 2016 at approximately 1:31am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers on patrol observed an adult male pedestrian who they identified as being in contravention of several conditions (not to be near specific properties) imposed from previous incidents.

Jonathan CARRIERE (19) of South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (3 counts)
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

Walsh Pressure_AdDOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(South Dundas) – On February 20, 2016 at approximately 10:04am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his spouse resulted in the female being assaulted.

A 44-year-old male from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 8, 2016.

THREATS

(South Stormont) – On February 21, 2016 at approximately 1:41am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a disturbance at a property in the Village of Long Sault, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an intoxicated adult male was yelling and had threatened individuals present. Further information revealed he had also caused damage to property.

Caleb MENARD (23) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Utter Threats (2 counts)
– Causing a Disturbance
– Trespass at Night
– Mischief Under $5000

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(South Stormont) – On February 21, 2016 at approximately 6:18pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on County Road 2, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Edmund SEELEY (41) of South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Ability Impaired by Alcohol
– Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in Blood

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 24, 2016.

THEFTS

(South Glengarry) – Overnight February 18-19, 2016, a black/yellow 2001 Bombardier Ski-Doo Mach Z Sport 80 snowmobile was taken from a residence on Paragon Road, South Glengarry Township.

An investigation continues.
(North Dundas) – On February 19, 2016 between 7-10:30pm, a tailgate from a 2011 Dodge pick-up truck was removed while it was unattended in the arena parking area on Main Street in the Village of Winchester, North Dundas Township.
