ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 29th, 2016 and charged with assault, mischief and threats. It is alleged during an argument on March 28th, 2016 the man pushed and threatened his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged he damaged some of her property and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Deruchie, 42 of Cornwall was arrested on March 29th, 2016 on the strength of warrants. It is alleged the man was responsible for a theft of merchandise at a local store on November 22nd, 2015 and failed to attend court for another matter in 2016. Warrants were issued for his arrest and on March 29th, 2016 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was arrested on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Amanda Laplante, 32 of Cornwall was arrested on March 29th, 2016 and charged with theft under $5000and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 8th, 2016 the woman attended a Thirteenth Street East store and removed property making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 29th, 2016 the woman was located at the Cornwall Courthouse, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT POLICE, CAUSE DISTURBANCE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Savannah Cousineau, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on March 29th, 2016 and charged with cause disturbance, assault police and breach of probation for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on March 29th, 2016 the woman was causing a disturbance at Second Street West address when police took her into custody. During this time the woman struck an officer in the face and she was further found to be in breach of her probation order. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 29th, 2016 and charged with mischief and threats. It is alleged during an argument on March 29th, 2016 the man damaged a window and threatened to slash his wife’s tires. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 30th, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached a probation order and recognizance in 2015 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On March 30th, 2016 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
