SD&G OPP Report Drug Busts in South Dundas & South Glengarry MAY 3, 2016

DRUGS SEIZED

(South Dundas) – On May 2, 2016 at approximately 9:40pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were conducting Reduce Impaired Drivers Everywhere (RIDE) checks at an off-ramp of Highway 401, South Dundas Township. A check of a vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected marihuana from a male youth passenger in the vehicle.

The 16-year-old from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on July 7, 2016. His name is being withheld as per provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
(South Glengarry) – On May 3, 2016 at approximately 6:40am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle at a property on Third Street in the Village of Green Valley, South Glengarry Township. The driver was identified and the subsequent investigation indicated he had damaged a chain linked fence in order to access a property. Upon his arrest, quantities of suspected marihuana and methamphetamine were seized from the accused.

Jean-Pierre BOURGON (36) of South Glengarry Township is charged with;

– Mischief Under $5000
– Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on July 6, 2016.

BREAK-IN

(North Glengarry) – On May 2, 2016 between 9:00am and 6:00pm, a shed was entered at a property on Kenyon Concession 5, North Glengarry Township. Inside, a plasma cutter and chainsaw were removed.

An investigation continues.
