Kicking Dog & Cocaine Busts in Cornwall Ontario POLICE BLOTTER July 14, 2016

POSSESSION OF COCAINE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

 

Cornwall, ON – Jody Roy, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on July 13th, 2016 and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime. As a result of an ongoing investigation in relation to the illegal sale of drugs within the city of Cornwall, members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit arrested Jody Roy on July 13th, 2016 and found him to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and cash. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 16th, 2016.

 

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF, CRUELTY TO ANIMALS

 

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 13th, 2016 and charged with assault with a weapon, assault, mischief and cruelty to animals. It is alleged during an argument on July 13th, 2016 the man pushed his 22-year-old girlfriend, threw a chair at her, damaged a door and kicked the family dog. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

 

MISCHIEF

 

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 13th, 2016 and charged with mischief. It is alleged during an argument on July 13th, 2016 the man damaged his common-law wife’s cell phone and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 16th, 2016. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
