Percocet & Xanax Bust in Cornwall Ontario – JULY 18, 2016 CCPS

BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT, INTIMIDATION, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – a 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 15th, 2016 and charged with break and enter, assault, intimidation and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 15th, 2016 the man attended his ex-common-law wife’s residence, pushed his way into the residence, assaulted her and removed property. The man also threatened to harm the occupants if police were contacted. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Gabriel Auclair, 24, David-Emanuel Charles, 24, Vanessa Larrieux, 25 and Jacques Trottier, 21 all from Montreal were arrested on July 15th, 2016 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and property obtained by crime. It is alleged during a searched on July 15th, 2016 at the Port of Entry a quantity of Percocet pills, Xanax pills and other pills believed to be a controlled substance were located along with Canadian currency. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the individuals were taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.  

 

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 16th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance and breach of three probation orders. It is alleged on July 10th, 2016 the youth breached curfew and left her residence without permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 16th, 2016 the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

 

ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM, THREATS, MISCHIEF, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

 

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 16th, 2016 and charged with assault, assault cause bodily harm, assault with a weapon, mischief and threats. It is alleged during an investigation on July 16th, 2016 police received information that between 2015 and 2016 the man repeatedly pushed and threatened his girlfriend. It is also alleged he burnt her with a cigarette, cut her with a pair of scissors, struck her with a remote control, damaged property and pushed her causing her existing stitches to come undone. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

 

HARASSMENT, BREACH

 

Anthony Kuno, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on July 17th, 2016 and charged with criminal harassment and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man repeatedly communicated with a 45-year-old woman known to him despite having been told not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

 

Cornwall, ON – Benjamin Pye, 41 of Williamstown was arrested on July 18th, 2016 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle on July 18th, 2016 while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Pitt Street at First Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 28th, 2016.
