Randy Hillier, the PC MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox & Addington is one of my favorite politicians in Ontario. It’s not that I agree with all of his positions or support his party, but when you talk with him you can feel a passion and integrity that is sorely lacking in so many other elected officials.
On August 9th he went to bat for Seniors over cuts via our LHIN system.
I’ve snagged his letter:
You have to admire MPP Hillier’s style as he suggests instead of cutting patient services (down to a scant 15 minutes per visit in some instances) that they cut administrative costs by terminating those involved in the decision.
In this age of politicians who refuse to take a stand on an issue, especially a clear one, this writer finds it refreshing and wish our own MPP Jim “McFuddle” McDonell would show a smidgen of as much interest in his own riding without spurring on from PC headquarters.
What do you think dear CFN viewers? Should we be cheating our seniors that need health care the most and paid for it through their years of work and strife? You can post your comments below.
