Love Letter Lands Cornwall Man With Harassment Charges #CCPS Aug 12, 2016

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

 

Cornwall, ON – Philippe Malette, 43 of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2016 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on May 24th, 2016 the man left a letter on a second story balcony inviting a 26-year-old woman to enter into a relationship. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 11th, 2016 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 22nd, 2016.

 

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – As a result of a warrant that was executed on August 9th, 2016 at a Carleton Street address Cheryl David, 56 of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2016 and charged with the following:

  • Possession of cocaine.
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of marihuana.
  • Possession of methamphetamine.
  • Possession of property obtained by crime.

She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

CAUSE DISTURBANCE, RESIST ARREST, ASSAULT POLICE, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Garry Pyper, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2016 and charged with cause disturbance, resist arrest, assault police and threats. It is alleged on August 11th, 2016 police attended a Danis Street address for a dispute and found the man to be causing a disturbance by yelling and screaming. He was taken into custody and during this time attempted to punch an officer. He was subsequently taken into custody after a brief struggle at which time he threatened to kill the officers involved. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Richard Nadon, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on August 11th, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 11th, 2016 police attended a Glengarry Boulevard address for a disturbance and found the man in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
