Ottawa Police Seek Help Looking for Riverside South Bank Robber AUG 25, 2016

Suspect sought in bank robbery

 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a new bank robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.

On August 24, 2016, at approximately 2:10 pm, a lone suspect entered a bank situated in the plaza near Earl Armstrong Road/River Road, in the Riverside South community. The suspect, disguised, approached a customer service representative and made a verbal demand for money.  The suspect fled the premises after obtaining an undisclosed quantity of cash. No weapon was seen and there were no injuries. The suspect was last seen running on foot toward the plaza’s entrance off Earl Armstrong Rd. It is unclear at this time if he had a vehicle and accomplice waiting nearby.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, tanned & fit, with hairy hands, English speaking with no accent, approx. mid 20’s, approximately 5’11”-6’0”(180 cm-183 cm), approximately 200 lbs (91 kg), medium/athletic build. He was wearing a black baseball hat, dark aviator styled sunglasses, a black mask/bandana with white design, a light grey short-sleeve T-shirt with “Harley” in red on the front, blue jeans, and white latex gloves.
