Akwesasne Woman Charged With Child Endangerment at CBSA Crossing in Cornwall SEPT 7, 2016

MISCHIEF, BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Sylvain Legault, 53 of Cornwall was arrested on September 6th, 2016 and charged with mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 6th, 2016 while in custody on unrelated charges the man damaged the lock mechanism in the cell block area. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody for a bail hearing.

 

BREACH

 

Cornwall, ON – Shane Blanchard, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on September 6th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside his residence without supervision. It is alleged on September 6th, 2016 the man was spotted outside his residence without supervision by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service in the area of Guy Street. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

DRIVE DISQUALIFIED

 

Cornwall, ON – Kanathonson Horn-David, 23 of Akwesasne was arrested on September 6th, 2016 and charged with drive while disqualified. It is alleged on September 4th, 2016 the man was spotted driving a motor vehicle when he attended the Port of Entry despite being prohibited from driving Canada wide. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 6th, 2016 police attended the Port of Entry as the man was present for an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

 

DANGEROUS OPERATION, MISCHIEF, ENDANGERING CHILD

 

Cornwall, ON – Taylor Cole, 23 of Akwesasne was arrested on September 6th, 2016 and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief and endangering child. It is alleged on September 6th, 2016 the woman was operating a motor vehicle and failed to stop at the port of entry. She then drove in a dangerous manner, damaged the Port of Entry gates all the while in the company of children. The woman later returned to the Port of Entry to deal with the matter and police were contacted. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. 

 

BREACH, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

 

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 6th, 2016 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his ex-girlfriend and for being within 30 meters of her place of residence. He was also charged with possession of controlled substances. It is alleged on September 6th, 2016 the man was spotted leaving his ex-girlfriend’s residence by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a hydromorphone pill as well as a suboxone pill. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic matter and would identify the victim in the matter.

  1. RE: Police Blotter- Child Endangerment.

    I realize, you receive these daily blotters from the Police, however, I see no mention of the Children’s Aid’s involvement in this case ? Surely, they (CAS) MUST have been called ?
