(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has laid further charges against Robert CLARKE following an ongoing investigation and new allegations of sexual assault.

One victim has come forward in response to an Ottawa Police news release issued in September 2016 regarding Sexual Assault charges against the Morrisburg man.

Investigators looked into incidents that occurred between 1973 to 1992, while he was in the course of his duties as a teacher in Ottawa.

Robert CLARKE, 72 years old, of Morrisburg, Ontario is charged with one count of Gross Indecency. He will be appearing in court on October 24th, 2016.

Investigators are concerned there could be more victims. The investigation continues.

“The Ottawa Police will respect a victim’s wishes to pursue or not pursue the matter before the courts,” said Staff Sergeant Angela McDade, SACA. “The reporting of these incidents by victims to police is key for investigators to identify suspects and determine crime trends.”

  1. His career as a music teacher actually started at Ottawa Technical High School circa 1969, where he taught music and led the junior band, of which I was part of. Not surprised to see it all led to this, as he was a deviant then; everything was always about sex. He was supportive and helpful in some ways, but sexually demeaning in others.
