Charges laid against a minor in relation to Hate Crime offences, investigation continues
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service West Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate several recent incidents of hate graffiti in Ottawa – working closely with the Hate Crime Unit.
A 17 year old male/young offender was arrested on November 19, 2016.
He attended court on Saturday, November 19th and was charged with:
* Uttering Threats to Cause Death x 6 counts
* Mischief to Religious Buildings x 6 counts
* Breach of Youth Probation x 6 counts
* Weapons Dangerous x 2 counts
The minor, who cannot be identified per the YCJA, will appear in court on November 30th.
The Ottawa Police investigation is ongoing.
