Joshua Tilley Charged Driving Snow Mobile in Cornwall ON Dec 22, 2016

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 21st, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to abide by house rules and for being out past curfew. It is alleged during the month of December, 2016 the youth failed to abide by the house rules and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation police also found the youth to be in breach of his curfew. On December 21st, 2016 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DANGEROUS DRIVE, MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Tilley, 24 was arrested on December 21st, 2016 and charged with dangerous drive, mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 20th, 2016 the man was driving a snowmobile in a dangerous manner in the area of Walton Street and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody at which time he damaged a cruiser door. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 31st, 2017.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Brittany Lague, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on December 21st, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend for prints on two occasions during the month of October, 2016 and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On December 21st, 2016 the woman was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on January 31st, 2017.

Cornwall, ON – Adam Martin, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on December 21st, 2016 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man was wanted by Cornwall Community Police Service for possession of stolen property in relation to an incident that took place in June, 2016 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 21st, 2016 Cornwall Police assumed custody of the man as Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service had the male in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 21st, 2016 and charged with breach of undertaking for not attending school and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the youth failed to attend school on several occasions during the month of December, 2016 and police were contacted to investigate. On December 21st, 2016 the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FRAUD, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENTS, PERSONATION, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Camillo D’Oranzio, 45 of Montreal was arrested on December 21st, 2016 and charged with fraud under $5000, utter forged documents, personation and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 21st, 2016 the man attended a local store and established an account using forged documents. Police were contacted and located the man in the area. He was taken into custody and identified himself as someone else to police. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

 

CORRECTION ADVISORY

Cornwall, ON – On December 12th, 2016 a media release was sent out in relation to a various charges including:

  • Theft under X3
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possession of B&E tool (bolt cutters)
  • Breach of Probation X4 (failing to keep the peace and for attending two local gyms)
  • Breach of JP Recognizance X6 (failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and house arrest x2, being in the driver’s seat of motor vehicle, being in possession of document that does not belong to him and attending a gym)

The person charged was Zahidur Salam, 33 of Montreal and not the person mentioned in the release.
