  1. Perhaps as Canadian demographics change with the majority now not as resilient to four distinct seasons schools should close for the winter and run straight through the summer. Heating schools and idling buses will only add to the burden of the new carbon tax placed on taxpayers. Although most Canadians still seem to have more than enough money based on the fact that few seem to be complaining.

  2. Mr. Oldham in past years like the 50’s and 60’s era we had tons of snow and cold much worse than what we have today and this old gal (me) now 66 years old has more resiliance than these young people. I used to walk to and from school every day even from the college in Corn{MODERATED}. My mom lived out in the farm and walked miles to school and back. I walk long distances here in Ottawa.

  3. If the kids went to school during the summer then they would complain about the heat. What heat as my husband says – this is nothing compared to Lebanon, compared to Australia and such places. You have to adapt this is nothing as a winter. This is a joke compared to past winters. How I remember all the snow in my day and the ice rinks we made as well as the forts, etc. People today are chocol

  4. The way school buses are cancelled in Cornwall every time there is some snow the schools might as well be permanently shut down. Here in Ottawa we have Arabs, Somalis and others who fill the schools and not many are closing here – not in my area of the city that is for sure. Cornwall should be made just as a hub for electricity but close the town down entirely and move everyone out.
