Phone Crime & Woman Assaulting in Cornwall Ontario MARCH 14, 2017

THEFT UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shandon Denneny, 19 and Malcom Pyper, 21 both of Cornwall were arrested on March 10th, 2017 and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of stolen property. Pyper was also charged with breach of recognizance for not residing at a specific address and for having consumed unlawful drugs (marijuana). It is alleged in the early morning hours of March 10th, 2017 the two men removed property from parked vehicles in the area of Anthony Street. Police were contacted and located the men in the area. They were taken into custody and charged accordingly. Denneny was later released to appear in court on April 6th, 2017 while Pyper was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 10th, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument in December, 2016 the man slapped his common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. On March 10th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Bryan Reynolds, 41 of Brockville was arrested on March 10th, 2017 and charged with breach of undertaking for being in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle. It is alleged on March 10th, 2017 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions during a traffic stop. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 13th, 2017.

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on March 11th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for attending his ex-common-law wife’s residence and her place of work. It is alleged during the month of March, 2017 the man attended his ex-common-law’s residence and place of work. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 11th, 2017 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 12th, 2017 and charged with mischief. It is alleged during an argument with her husband the woman damaged their vehicle’s windshield. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 18th, 2017. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 13th, 2017 and charged with assault and mischief. It is alleged during arguments on March 12th and 13th, 2017 the man kicked and punched his common-law wife and damaged her phone. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 4th, 2017. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shari Gagnon, 48 of Cornwall was arrested on March 13th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on January 16th, 2017 the woman took another man’s phone and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation a warrant was obtained for the arrest of the woman. On March 13th, 2017 the woman was located by police, taking into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on April 11th, 2017

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 14th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged during an argument on January 21st, 2017 the youth pushed his girlfriend and damaged her phone. Police were contacted to investigate and a warrant was obtained for the youth’s arrest. On March 14th, 2017 the youth was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
