#OPP Ask Public NOT TRAVEL on Tuttle Point Road near Prescott FLOODING May 8, 2017

(Prescott, Ont), The Ontario Provincial Police are requesting that the public NOT travel on Tuttle Point Road, Edwardsburh Township, unless they are a resident of the area.

At this location, police have received numerous complaints from area homeowners of vehicles travelling down the road to view or take pictures of the area damaged by the current flooding.

This unnecessary traffic is causing further splashing and waves as homeowners are attempting to keep the water away with sandbags.

Boat traffic is an additional challenge, boats travelling at a high rate of speed leave a high wake, which causes additional property damage. The OPP wish to remind boaters to adhere to the NO WAKE in that area and to slow down near any area affected by the flooding.
