Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for MAY 26, 2017

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 25th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged during an argument with his common-law wife on May 10th, 2017 the man damaged her car and police were contacted to investigate. A warrant was then obtained for his arrest. On May 25th, 2017 the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Nia Seymour, 25 of Akwesasne was arrested on May 25th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged on May 21st, 2017 the woman was found to be in breach of her conditions when she was stopped at the Port of Entry and police were contacted to investigate. On May 25th, 2017 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Luis Rodriguez, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on May 25th, 2017 and charged with threats and breach of probation and recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during a disagreement at a local business on May 25th, 2017 the man threatened to blow up the place. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
