Air bag wiring can chafe against steering wheel trim, which can cause a short circuit. Drivers could see air bag warning lights, the windshield wipers may turn on, or the cruise control may not work.

The notifications start July 28.

The Chrysler Town & Country minivan is not affected as it has different steering wheel trim.
