10:51 AM EDT Wednesday 28 June 2017
Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop once again this afternoon across Eastern Ontario. This will be the fourth day in a row of unsettled weather across the region.

Once again, some of the thunderstorms will produce pea sized hail, with wind gusts of 70 km/h possible. Enough hail may fall in a couple localities to partially cover the ground again, with some damage to tender plants and crops possible.

Thunderstorms will dissipate or move to the east of the region this evening, as a weak ridge of high pressure finally moves in from the west.
