4 Cornwall Men Charged by #OPP in Tyotown for Weed JULY 11, 2017

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOPS

 

(South Dundas) – On July 07, 2017 at approximately 9:48 am, a Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer stopped a vehicle on County Road 2, South Dundas Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected hydromorphone from a male. 

 

Kyle MORROW (33) of South Dundas was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

– Driving While Under Suspension (Highway traffic Act)

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on August 1, 2017.

 

 

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOPS

 

(South Glengarry) – On July 08, 2017 at approximately 1:24 am, a Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officer intercepted a vehicle on Tyotown Road, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marijuana from four males. 

 

Devon BLACKADDER (19) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

Skyler DAZE (19) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

Carter MCLEAN (19) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

Kyle POIRIER (19) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

All four were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on August 1, 2017.

 

 

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

 

(South Glengarry) – On July 08, 2017 at approximately 2:05am, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a camp site on South Service Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his common-law spouse resulted in the female being assaulted. Investigation revealed that an adult male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident. 

 

The 42-year-old male from Lasalle, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Assault ( 2 counts)

– Overcome Resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle another person

– Fail to comply with Undertaking

 

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

 

(South Dundas) – On July 8, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Dundas Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

 

– July 8, 2017 – 3:25pm (South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 154km/h (100km/h zone). Female driver (40) from Redmond, Washington was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

– July 8, 2017 – 8:31pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 156km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (47) from Toronto, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

 

IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

 

(North Dundas) – On July 8, 2017 at approximately 9:41 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 13, North Dundas Township for traveling in excess of 50km/hr above the posted limit . The investigation also revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana from a male as well. 

 

Jason BEEHLER (20) of North Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams

– Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on August 1, 2017.
