Cornwall Woman Charged – Breach Communication With Parents 071917

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 18th, 2017 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with her parents as well as breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman communicated with her parents by way of text messages and phone call despite her conditions and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Cheyanna Sylvester, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on July 18th, 2017 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on several occasions between December, 2016 and February, 2017 the woman removed cash from her place of employment and police were contacted to investigate. On July 18th, 2017 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 31st, 2017.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Brittany Lague, 20 of Cornwall was arrested on July 18th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on February 9th, 2017 for a theft under $5000 charge and a warrant was issued. On July 18th, 2017 members of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Ottawa Courthouse as the woman was in custody on unrelated charges. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and transported to Cornwall for a bail hearing.
