Woman in Cornwall Charged Assault by Phone & Punch 081717

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 16th, 2017 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, threats and mischief. It is alleged during arguments on August 16th, 2017 the woman struck her husband with her phone and also punched him. It is also alleged during the arguments the woman threatened the man and damaged walls within the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Quigley, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on August 16th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on July 20th, 2017 for break and enter charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 16th, 2017 the man was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 16th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with his ex-girlfriend and being within 100 meters of her. It is alleged during the month of July, 2017 and August, 2017 the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend and was within 100meters of her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 16th, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Trevor Durnion, 40 of Cornwall was arrested on August 16th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court in June, 2011 for breach of probation charges and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody on August 16th, 2017 and held for a bail hearing.
