Busy Weekend for SD&G #OPP Police Blotter 110617

DRUGS SEIZED AT TRAFFIC STOP

 

 

(NORTH STORMONT,ON) – On November 3, 2017 at approximately 8:22pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle during a traffic stop on Highway 138, North Stormont Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine from a female.

 

Roxane MORIN (28) of Gatineau, Quebec was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Possession of a Controlled Substance

 

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 30, 2017.

 

 

STOLEN ATV

 

 

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On November 4, 2017 at approximately 9:24am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of an ATV from a Residence on County Road 18, South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime November 3-4, 2017- a 2010 Red and Black Kawasaki K7P (side by side) ATV with Ontario Licence Plate (68TK4) was removed from the property.

 

An investigation continues.

 

STOLEN MOTORCYCLE

 

 

(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On November 4, 2017 at approximately 7:20pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a theft of a Motorcycle from a Residence on Loch Garry Road, North Glengarry Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime November 4, 2017- a 2008 Blue and White Suzuki GSXR Motorcycle with Ontario Licence Plate (8187Z) was removed from the property.

 

An investigation continues.

 

 

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On November 5, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Glengarry Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

 

– November 5, 2017 – 7:55am (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 158km/h (100km/h Construction zone). Male driver (45) from Sherbrooke, Quebec was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

 

(NORTH STORMONT,ON)- On November 5, 2017 at approximately 10:24am, Stormont Dundas & Glengarry OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Warina Road, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an adult male had caused damaged to the victim’s belongings at the home.

 

An adult male (29) from North Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with:

 

–            Mischief

 

 

The male was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on November 28, 2017. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

BREAK IN

 

(NORTH STORMONT,ON) – On October 5, 2017 at approximately 11:57am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Development Road, North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight October 5, 2017 culprit(s) entered the residence and removed a generator and fishing equipment.

An investigation continues.
