SD&G #OPP Round Up in South Stormont for Thursday November 23, 2017

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On November 22, 2017 at approximately 2:54pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Myers Road, South Stormont Township involving a passenger vehicle.

The 52 year-old female driver, refused to provide a breath sample for the roadside screening device upon request from police.

 

Karen DESNOYERS (52) of South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail or Refuse to provide Sample

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 14, 2017.

 

IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On November 22, 2017 at approximately 10:07 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers intercepted a vehicle on Pineridge Road, South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

 

Shawn STRACHAN (43) of South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 14, 2017.

 



DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On November 23, 2017 at approximately 12:26am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his wife. The Investigation revealed that the male had assaulted the female and damaged property at the home.

 

A 37-year-old male from North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with

– Assault

– Mischief

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 12, 2017.

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
