Cornwall Police Blotter for Monday December 4, 2017

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 1st, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the youth breached his probation order a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 1st, 2017 the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.



POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, FRAUD UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Justin Levesque, 22 of Cornwall was arrested on December 1st, 2017 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, fraud under $5000 and breach of recognizance for failing to reside at a specific address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the month of November, 2017 the man attempted to cash a stolen cheque at a local business and police were contacted to investigate. The man was located on December 1st, 2017, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

There were 176 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in over the weekend (8am Friday to 8am Monday morning).
