Two people charged with First Degree murder in Parkrose Private homicide / Deux personnes inculpées de meurtre au premier degré

(Ottawa) – Major Crime investigators have charged two people in relation to the homicide of Maria Desousa at a residence on Parkrose Private in Orleans.

Paulo DESOUSA, 40 years old and Danielle LEBLANC, 36 years old, both of Ottawa were arrested today and have both been charged with one count of First Degree murder.

They are scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.

Major Crime Section now investigating suspicious death as a homicide

(Ottawa) – On Saturday, February 10, 2018 at approximately 3:30pm, Frontline officers responded to a local Ottawa hospital for a report of a suspicious death. On scene, officers learned from hospital staff that the victim, Maria Desousa, 81 years old, was already deceased when she was brought into the hospital.

This incident is being investigated as a homicide and the Major Crime section has taken carriage of it.

Investigation is ongoing.
