Busy SD&G #OPP Round Up for Monday March 19, 2018

SD&G OPP NEWS

 

(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 172 calls for service from Friday March 16, 2018 to Monday March 19, 2018.

 

Among these occurrences, SD&G OPP responded to:

–             16 motor vehicle collisions

–             1 break and enter occurrences

–             16 calls for police assistance

–             28 traffic complaints and hazards

–             8 Traffic enforcement occurrences

–             12 911 calls

–             9 alarm calls

–             3 suspicious person calls

–             2 mental health act calls

–             1 community services occurrences

–             1 drug offence related calls

–             1 sudden death investigation

–             1 sexual assault investigation

–             4 prevent breach of peace calls

–             1 landlord tenant issues

–             2 RIDE checks were conducted

–             3 Fraud related calls

–             1 impaired occurrences

–             1 family dispute

–             3 Thefts

–             1 threat calls

–             3 bail violation call

–             2 assault calls

–             1 warrant calls

–             2 trouble with youth call

–             1 unwanted person call

–             2 fire calls

–             3 neighbour disputes

–             2 Mischief calls

–             1 liquor licence act call

–             3 harassment calls

 

 

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

 

 

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On March 16, 2018 at approximately 5:11pm Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Military Road South, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated a female was in contravention of previous release conditions.

 

Leah PATRIE of Winnipeg, Manitoba was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)

– Fail to comply with Undertaking ( 2 count)

 

 

She was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

 




CHARGES LAID RELATING TO BREAK IN

 

 

(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On March 16, 2018 at approximately 6:50pm Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Glen Robertson Road, North Glengarry Township.

Investigation indicated that a male had entered the home unlawfully.

 

Gaetan MENARD (56) of North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Unlawfully in a dwelling house

 

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

                                                                                          

IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

 

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On March 16, 2018 at approximately 8:45pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 3, North Dundas Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

 

Chad HANNIMAN (38) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a motor vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 29, 2018.

 

 

ASSAULT

 

 

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On March 18, 2018 at approximately 3:27am, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance outside a business on Cornwall Center road, South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred resulting in a adult male striking another adult male.

 

Mathieu CAMERON-LALONDE (20) from Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Assault Cause Bodily Harm

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on May1, 2017.

 

 

 

 

CHARGES LAID RELATING TO BREAK IN

 

 

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On March 18, 2018 at approximately 3:14am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Hulbert road, South Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that 4 suspects entered a residence and threatened a male inside the residence. Further investigation revealed that the males had damaged the victim’s property.

 

Members of the SD&G OPP arrested two males and two females in connection with the break-in.

 

Dustin TYO (18) of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Break and Enter

– Uttering threats ( 3 counts)

– Mischief Under $5000

 

A 17 year-old male from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

 

– Break and Enter

– Uttering threats ( 2 counts)

– Mischief Under $5000

– fail to comply with Undertaking

 

Melissa GERVAIS (23) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Break and Enter

 

A 17 year-old female of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Break and Enter

 

TYO was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

The 17 year-old male was released and scheduled to appear at Ontario court in Cornwall April 11, 2018

Gervais was released and is scheduled to appear at Ontario Court in Morrisburg May1, 2018
