Ottawa Police Charge KATHLEEN St. GERMAIN Fraud from Theft From Roberta Bondar School 032218

Former school office administrator charged with Theft over $5000

(Ottawa)—In October 2014, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) conducted an internal review and found that revenues typically generated from School Generated Funds were not received for the 2013-2014 school year at Roberta Bondar Public School. After the Board questioned staff, the employee suspected of taking these funds did not return to her position as the school’s office administrator.

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board filed a complaint to the Ottawa Police and the ensuing police investigation determined that criminal charges were warranted.

On March 21, 2018, Kathleen ST-GERMAIN, 45 years old, from Ottawa was charged with one count of theft over $5,000.  She was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on April 12.

Anyone with information pertaining to this matter is asked to contact Detective Steven Malo from the Ottawa Police Organized Fraud Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5443 or at malos@ottawapolice.ca.
