1st Column on CFN for Wendy the Weed Witch! Medical Marijuana & More! 041018

Cornwall Ontario – Good day everyone, I’m  “Wendy the Weed Witch” and I’m excited to entertain and at least give some guidance regarding medicinal marijuana. A word of caution; as a patient, I tend to use common sense logic and am brutally honest as to the bullshit surrounding medicinal marijuana.

For the first time legally, all medical patients in Canada will be in a position to obtain medicine without fear of persecution.  Although it has been legal for medical patients since 2001, it has been difficult for many patients to get a doctor to agree to their treatment plan. With legalization in the near future, patients will have variety and easy access to medicine. With all the drama of who is going to capitalize on huge profits, it will unfortunately leave many people no choice but to look elsewhere because of the expense even with compassionate prices.  Being the cheap weed witch that I am, I’ve learned to maximize product for the lowest price possible especially when making edibles.

As someone who has been experimenting for many years, it can be a nightmare trying to figure out what is what, how much of this, how much of that etc.  Through experience, I’m hoping to encourage others who are confused about medicating themselves and organize some format that channel out the endless opinions that hold little to no value.  The one thing I’ve learned about medicating yourself is that you have to be your own guinea pig and like with any new introduction of anything, go slow and steady just like sex!  Slow and steady, slow and steady, slow……steady. Got it?

As a pain sufferer, it has been challenging finding what works best.  Reading through pages and pages helped but with different views, different methods etc., it was difficult to capture what worked for me. The vital thing about medicating yourself is to gain knowledge with basic information. This will help guide you in choosing what product works best for you.

It’s important to familiarize yourself with different strains.  You have two different types of marijuana. One is sativa (day time) and the other is indica (night time). With that, you have different strains and by combining the two, you make a hybrid which creates a larger amount of options.

Sativa is usually uplifting as it gives you energy and has positive side effects like hunger, happy, focused, increases libido etc. however, it can also have negative effects of anxiety, heart palpitations, paranoia and can convince you that you are dying.  You know, when the anxiety plays right into your symptoms of a heart attack! Yup, been on that ride a few times. Shooting the rapids when you are looking for a lazy river.  Not fun at all. Your body can become overwhelmed if too much is taken at once especially with the potency of products. Micro-dosing can be extremely beneficial. Slow and steady, remember?

Indica aids in sleep, swelling and pain to name a few. It is the preferred choice to help with the ailments mentioned, especially when they are caused by disease. It gives a deep relaxation that eases tension which is often secondary to pain. You need to be aware that if too much is taken, it will drop your blood pressure and you will feel weak placing you are at risk to fall if you get up too fast. Also be mindful that it can double and triple the effects of alcohol which isn’t a fun ride either. I’ve seen people crawl and vomit as a result of taking too much, so again……slow and steady!

Hybrids can be balanced, or, indica or sativa dominant. By learning what works best for you using pure  strains of sativa and indica, will help you determine which hybrid will benefit you the most. Once you learn basic names, you will be able to identify many hybrids.  It is strongly recommended that you keep a log of the strain, dosage, time, method and environment including what you ate.  I’ve learned that your environment can influence the response you get so write what you were watching, who was with you, texting etc. Just a few notes…through time, you will see a pattern of what helps you and what doesn’t.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. I want to especially thank my husband for playing some propagated  tv garbage that fuels me to no end and my children who consistently interrupted me while I was trying to write this. Maybe I will give them a cookie before I write the next article and before anyone goes crazy, the children are all over 18.

Peace and please post your comments and questions below.

  1. But Pastor Tom,

Isn’t cannibis a gift from your god??

You are a hypocrite that only follows your invisible Sky Daddy when it is convenient for you !!

  2. In the beginning….

Genesis 1:29 – And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which [is] the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Genesis 9:3 – Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you

    Have you read the bible??

  3. Yikes!!!!! Another one appears!!!

  4. Great information especially since now that it is being legalized there will be quite a few first timers looking to alternative medicating. As someone who know living with severe Chronic Pain every day of your life to the point that sometimes just being able to walk is agony..any kind of relief is a blessing. I would advise caution and agree with Wendy go slow and steady. Thumbs Up!!

  5. A little bit early for Halloween this year? To answer the question – We are not allowed to have anything control us apart from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God (Eph. 5:17-18). This equates to daily submitting to the Lordship of Christ. Now the use of medicine is good within limits. Drug addiction, drug abuse, sorcery by the use of drugs, etc. – forbidden! So pot for recreational use – no way!

  6. Hi Tom.
I guess the authors name just scared you and you didn’t read the article as it is about Medicinal Cannibis and not just about getting high.
Didn’t your imaginary Sky Daddy drink wine?? Isn’t that a mind altering item for recreation??
