Cornwall Community Police Service Crime Blotter for May 18, 2018 #CCPS

ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 17th, 2018 and charged with assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged during an argument on May 17th, 2018, the man assaulted his girlfriend and prevented her from leaving the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Terisa Ditchburn, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on May 17th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on March 15th, 2018 for failing to attend for fingerprints and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 17th, 2018, the woman was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.



IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80, DRIVE WHILE DISQUALIFIED

Cornwall, ON – Karina David, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2018 and charged with impaired operation, over 80 and drive while disqualified. It is alleged on May 18th, 2018 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Fifth Street and Pitt Street. She was taken into custody during a traffic stop and found to be driving while disqualified. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 31st, 2018.
