Over 30 Injured in Bus Crash Near Brockville on 401w ROAD CLOSED #OPP UPDATED

Cornwall Ontario – Over 30 are injured and Air Ornge are transporting victims to hospital as another dangerous crash occurred on Highway 401.

 OPP UPDATE 6:45 PM

On June 4, 2018, at approximately 2:30p.m., the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police, (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a bus transporting tourists from the county of China.

This collision occurred on the 401 highway, west bound, near mile marker 705, which is located between the city of Brockville and the town of Prescott. The bus drove off the highway and struck a rock cut, located on the north side of the highway. The bus was transporting 37 passengers and multiple passengers were injured. Four of those injured sustained life threatening injuries and twenty passengers’ sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The west bound highway, between Prescott and Maitland, remains closed at this time.

  1. Can you just imagine , if this horrific accident would of happened in our area (Cornwall) ? Sorry, our ambulances cannot respond, because Council won’t designate our PARAMEDICS as essential services ? Open your eyes Council, you are jeopardizing lives here ! Settle this ridiculous strike, immediately !
