Damage to Wall & TV Leads to Couple Being Charged in Cornwall 080818

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both of Cornwall, were arrested on August 7th, 2018 and charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during a domestic argument on August 7th, 2018, the man damaged a television and the woman damaged a wall and oven in their residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man and woman were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 28th, 2018. Their names were not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 7th, 2018 and charged with assault and breach of recognizance for consuming alcohol, for failing to remain in Alberta, and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 7th, 2018, the man consumed alcohol and assaulted his girlfriend during an argument. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
